Residential care for children
Whilst every effort is made to care for Rochdale's 'looked after
children' in a home environment through foster care, there
are a small number of children and young people who need to live in
residential homes.
Rochdale has three of these residential homes and cares for no
more than four children in each of these with one emergency
placement if required.
