The cemetery office at Rochdale Cemetery maintains all the
statutory burial records for

- Heywood cemetery, Rochdale Road East, Heywood opened 1856
- Middleton old cemetery, St Leonard's Street, Middleton opened
1862
- Middleton cemetery and crematorium, Boarshaw Road, Middleton

- Rochdale cemetery and crematorium, Bury Road, Rochdale opened
1855
Locating a burial place
We recieve many enquiries from families who wish to locate the
burial place of their loved ones or carry out research into their
family history. Please call, telephone or send your enquiry to
Rochdale Cemetery using the contact details in the right hand
column.
In order that we can conduct an effective search for you, the
following information should be provided
- Full name of the deceased
- Approximate month and year that the individual died
- The cemetery where the burial took place (if known)
Cost
There is a charge for this service currently £23 per search
carried out. Please make your cheque payable to
'Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council' and send to the Rochdale
cemetery office. We will search the records for you and reply
giving as much information as is held in our records.
