Coronavirus (COVID-19): children's centre updates
Due to the current situation, our Children’s Centres have closed to the public. However:
- They'll remain open only for families who have an existing day care place or a midwifery appointment. If this applies to you, you’ll be notified.
- You can continue to access online sessions organised by the Children's Centres.
- You can ring any children's centre in the borough to
join a food club.
We'll continue to monitor the situation closely, carefully and frequently and will keep this website updated.
Timetable of online sessions
The timetable outlines the sessions and activities available to you and includes dates, times and instructions on how to join.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8.45am-4pm.
Situated alongside Moorhouse Primary School on Crossley Street, Milnrow, Moorhouse Sure Start Children's Centre offers a welcoming and safe environment for families with children aged 0-5 years. There are excellent facilities for both exciting and challenging indoor and outdoor play activities. A variety of services are offered both in the centre and in the community. Staff are able to offer families a range of support in the home as well as the centre. Moorhouse is a satellite children's centre branching from Newbold Children's Centre.
Moorhouse Children's Centre is linked with
Teddy Bears Private nursery, that provides funded nursery places for two year olds at the Children’s Centre between 1pm – 6pm.
