Activities at the centre
Deeplish Children's Centre welcomes all families regardless of background, culture, lifestyle or family make up. There's a warm welcome to mums, dads, grandparents and carers with children aged 0-5 years as well as childminders and those who look after children.
The centres offer a variety of sessions for parents and children to spend quality time together in a structured play environment. There are sessions that are just for parents like training courses as well as sessions just for children like the crèche.
Typical sessions include:
Courses - a variety of courses are available to raise your awareness of child development, help give you skills to deal with your children's behaviour or to learn new skills for yourself.
Play and Learn - fun play sessions for children and carers with a variety of themes and activities.
Toy and Book Library - an opportunity to come along and borrow a book or play activity to take home and return the following week.
Fun, family friendly activities throughout the week can be found on the full timetable of activities.
Situated next to Deeplish Community School on Hare Street, Deeplish Sure Start Children's Centre offers a convenient and safe environment for 0-5 year olds and their parents or carers. There are excellent indoor and outdoor play facilities.
Deeplish Children's Centre offers the Family Journey Programme, a series of 12 workshops shaped to support families at the different stages of your child's development, such as weaning, potty training and going to nursery.
