Stage hypnotism licence
Under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982
(in England and Wales) and the Hypnotism Act 1952 all performances
which involve hypnotism must be licensed and the premises in which
the performance is to be held must also be licensed for Regulated
Entertainment under the Licensing Act 2003.

If you wish to show, demonstrate or perform a hypnotism act in
public you must have authorisation from us (Licensing Service).

No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process
your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard
from the local authority within a reasonable period, please contact
