Dog warden service
Our Stray Dog Services operate between 9am and 1am the
following morning.
Between the hours of 5pm and 1am and also at weekends and bank
holidays the service is 'Secured Strays only'. This
means we are not able to try to catch dogs.
We also offer an Unwanted Dog Re-Homing service via Manchester Dogs'
Home.
Please contact the Home and provide the requested information
they will then advise if they can help on that occasion.
The service is provided on our behalf by Animal Wardens Ltd
who can be contacted on the telephone number listed, if the contact
centre is closed.
Seized dogs will be taken to Manchester Dogs Home during opening
hours and can be reclaimed provided the appropriate fee is
paid.
At weekends and bank holidays contact Animal Wardens Ltd to
check if your dog has been transferred.
You can also take stray and unwanted dogs to Manchester
Dogs Home yourself. You can contact them on the telephone number
provided for directions, opening times and to check if they have
space.
Information on lost and found dogs
The Animal wardens will accept details of dogs that have been
lost or found and retained by the finder in the hope that they can
be reunited with their owners. You may also wish to contact
Manchester Dogs Home to check if it has been handed in by a member
of the public.

If you are thinking of getting a dog and are sure you can care
for it properly please consider a visit to Manchester Dogs Home -
they have all types of dogs and can give advice and support.
You will also be ensuring that more dogs are able to be looked
after.
