Neighbourhood Renewal
Neighbourhood Renewal Funding (NRF)
Deprived neighbourhoods have a lot in common.
Poor housing, poor health, poor education, fewer job opportunities
and high crime rate. That's why the Government has set out an
ambitious vision for narrowing the gap between deprived
neighbourhoods and the rest of the country.
Rochdale is one of the 88 most deprived Local
Authority areas and receives Neighbourhood Renewal Funds from the
Government in order to improve the quality of life for residents in
our poorest neighbourhoods.
The Neighbourhood Renewal Funds aim to
achieve:Economic prosperity
- Safe communities
- High quality education
- Decent housing
- Better health
