Where outline permission has been granted, to proceed with your
development you will need to make an application for approval
of any or all matters of detail which were "reserved" by the
outline permission. Reserved matters tend to include access,
appearance, landscaping, layout and scale. Any
conditions that have been imposed in the original outline planning
permission must also be taken into account.
Your proposal must be in accordance with the outline
permission. If the proposals have altered in any
way, you may need to reapply for outline or full planning
permission. The outline permission will lapse if details of
reserved matters are not submitted to the Council within
the period specified in that permission. The site must be no
greater in size than that granted outline permission.
Your completed application forms (3 copies) should be
accompanied by the relevant checklist. You should indicate on
the checklist the information you have provided and which
information you do not consider relevant to your application.
Please note, however, that any application which does not
provide all the required details may not be
validated.

Additional information
If you are unsure of how to complete an application for
planning permission it is preferable that you enter into
pre-application discussions to ensure all the information required
(refer checklist) to process your application is provided from the
start, otherwise your application will be delayed.
If you have entered into pre-application discussions it would be
helpful if you also include copies of any previous correspondence
or notes.
Building regulations
You should also be aware that Building Regulations are often
needed for developments given Planning Permission. You should
consult with our Building Regulations Service to
determine whether a building regulations application is
required.
