The service includes:
- The Community Safety Officers
- The Drug and Alcohol Action Team
- The Community Drug Outreach Team
- The Alleygating Team
- The Anti-Social Behaviour Team
The team works closely with partner agencies to reduce crime and
the fear of crime throughout the borough.
Community Safety Shop
The Community Safety shop is open every
Saturday from 10am-12noon. You can buy a variety of items from the
shop including safety marking pens, personal attack alarms, and
timers. You can also pick up safety leaflets and receive
information and advice from the team.
The Community Safety shop is located under the
clock tower in the Town Hall.
Alleygates
Alleygating is a very simple crime reduction measure which
involves erecting lockable steel gates to the end of back
alley-ways which are then the responsibility of the home owners who
benefit directly from them.
