Emergency plan
We will do everything we can to protect
people, property and the environment, by minimising the effects of
a disaster and trying to continue services, while we try to return
the situation to normality as quickly as possible.
The Risk and Resilience unit co-ordinates the
planning, training, exercising, activation and the management of
our response to emergencies. The unit works alongside the emergency
services, voluntary agencies and other agencies who have a role to
play, to ensure there is co-ordinated and effective response.
We have prepared plans with the Emergency
Services to deal with a major incident. By co-operating
with the emergency services and developing an integrated emergency
management we can make sure we all work together.
