issues.
- Liaising with all parts of the Council responsible for local
services to ensure they are what people want.
- Liaising with other partners, such as the Police and Health
Service.
- Improving the democratic process by providing information and
helping to make sure decisions are open and accountable.
- Administering the Township fund which is spent on local
priorities.
- Facilitating and supporting local groups, forums and

Township staff are available to meet individuals and groups, and
as part of their work try to make sure your comments and views
get consideration.
The Township Office helps and encourages you to contribute to
local decision making. We do this through Pennines
Township groups and committees, which look at issues that directly
affect people's lives such as the environment, community safety and
health. If you want to be kept informed and engaged in matters
affecting your area, contact the Township Office.
