Teenage Pregnancy Strategy
Addressing the high rates of teenage conceptions in Rochdale
remains a strategic priority for us, NHS Heywood, Middleton and
Rochdale, Pennine Acute Trust, Connexions and other key partners.
The role of the Partnership Board continues to be undertaken by the
Children, Schools and Families Partnership making
sure that it is well placed to form an integral part of
Rochdale's implementation of Every Child Matters.

Research
We know that research is integral to
successful health provision for young people. Since the
implementation of the teenage pregnancy strategy, we have
consulted young people to make sure they are getting
the right sexual health information, advice and
support. We also believe in empowering young people to
do research in this area.
