Schools Single Equality and Community Cohesion Policy
We aim to be recognised as a leader of diversity and
equality in our work and as an example of good practice in the
delivery of services and employment. This Single Equality and
Community Cohesion Policy for Rochdale’s schools reflects this
ambition and outlines the activities which will deliver this.
Equality of opportunity and social inclusion issues will ensure
that all school communities can truly benefit from and contribute
to the improvements we are making, which will bring long-term and
positive benefits for Rochdale Borough. Therefore the school’s
Single Equality and Community Cohesion Policy will require
ownership by Governors, senior leaders, all staff, the school
community and the pupils in order to succeed.
